Lately I've been hard to read
I've been cold too long
I am sick of reaching out
Where no one wants to care
I walk between both worlds
I don't belong to neither worlds
I walk alone
With only my guitar and a few sad strum
No shoulders to cry on
No other choice but to be strong

Being me is not easy
No one likes to see the truth
I wear my heart on my sleeves
So that it can be stabbed
With words and stares
What is so beautiful about the mask
That no one listen with their hearts
I feel in everything
Every pain
Every tear
Every hollow feeling eating me from inside
Thankful that I am alive to feel

Lately I've been hard to reach
Is anyone trying to reach me
Everyone has a private home
Where we can cry our hearts out
I don't bother to reach out anymore
Because no one cares
I don't care if I am alone
Because the world is beautiful

A friend sent me a link

I spent the next hour watching almost all their videos on YouTube.

Some disgusting ones... Some not memorable at all... Some just plain stupidity...
This is my favourite...

After watching this video, I really 不得不爱 (cannot not love) these two very BRAVE personalities...

Happy Birthday Keith

Today, we celebrated Keith's birthday at Kampar's famous Kam Ling Restaurant. It was like TE 1 gathering since we parted ways in degree about 3 months ago. It was really enjoyable, being in company of good friends and good food.

I'll let the picture do the talking...

Butter chicken.
Tasted a little bland, but it was fried till crispy

Taufu with extra gravy...
This one... Not bad...

The fish that tasted funny... And the gravy was way to salty and sour...

Nonetheless, the soup was nice! Lidwina taking soup... Later Hui Nee continue to serve everyone...

Nicole eating the chicken in her very feminine and poise way...
In the end... Everything habis~~

Then we chatted and did a little catch up with everyone. From left : Lidwina, Wei Qian, Hui Nee and Xiao Xiang

Chen Kit and Hien Fuh...
They look a little gay? LOL~~

And we were laughing over something...

Tonight was like... Hien Fuh's photo taking lesson... He got his new phone... And he doesn't know how to properly take a photo yet...
This is how the experts do it!! Look at Kar Yee on the left and Nicole on the right!!

Two supermodels!!
Nicole and Vanezsha are SO HOT!!

They look so hot... effortlessly...

Then two orang gila gila... Guess whose hands are those?

I don't know what happened here...

Birthday boy... Keith

And his very delicious chocolate banana cake
The ceremonial birthday trick
The ceremonial pose
The ceremonial gift

And the ceremonial hug

Tao Hui dividing the cake...

Into this... Scroll up to do a before- after comparison...
The leng lui-s of TE1 Left : Zhi Xin, Kelyin, Hui San, Jiang Chin and Hui Sin

And I perasan a little with the supermodel Vanezsha...

These two... Like models for don't know which fashion line...

Keith and Hien Fuh

And our beloved class rep, Boon Long, snacking after dinner!!

Tonight, I really had a good time!!
Thank you TE 1!!!

And again

I Did My Best

It was one busy weekend.

An even busier Monday.

Tuesday... I am like... DEAD FISH...

It is 2.23am. I have a nutrition mid term test at 4.00pm today. I haven't finish studying. And I don't really care anymore. My weekend was fully utilized on a project that I like very much. And I didn't waste a second during weekdays. You can even see me studying during breaks, all over campus: in the cafeteria, outside the lab, in lecture theater... I just couldn't finish the notes.

I did my best. No regrets.

Just hope that me not sleeping in class (though not really paying attention **winks**) somehow contribute to me not failing this paper.

Colour Blind

This is a meaningful production from the late Yasmin Ahmad.
Her death is our nation's loss.

May she rest in peace.

I read a quote today.
It inspired me to start the day with positivity and reignite that deep desire to learn in me.
Thought of sharing with y'all...

"There are four things you must never do: lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. I take each day as a learning experience. I believe learning never ends. I get up everyday with a new set of things to accomplish. I meet people all long the day - some I know, some I don't. As each day passes, I am not sure whether I am moving towards something or drifting away further from the past. At the end of the day, I enjoy (or at least try to enjoy) a peaceful sleep. I believe I haven't achieved much in life because they are so many things, in fact beautiful things I haven't seen, read, heard, tasted and even sensed. And it also counts for people including you who is reading this."

I so agree with this quote. Life is not a bad of roses, thus we should take every incident, every opportunity, good or bad, to learn and to mature. After all, learning is a life long process. And in the end of the day, we should have a clear conscience. At times, there are no point achieving so much in material wise but at the end of the day, you're just a rotten bag of bones surrounded by not friends, but sins.

Due to this week's extreme schedule overload, I don't even have time to sleep... Thus, my blog has been stagnant for the past 2 days... Now a little updates on last week...

Despite the insane and hectic life with unreasonable deadline (ok, mostly is because I procrastinate...) I still find time to indulge in good food and cook a little...

Cendol Tau Fu Fa at A Kopitiam (At KTAR area)
According to Nicole, it tasted weirder after each bite...

Funnily, the architecture is much more attractive than the food...

YY made this green vege... Yummy...

Stir- fried crab stick with fish cake sandwich

Steamed chicken with egg...
Experimental Dish... Taste not so nice cause the egg taste was too much...
Planning next experiment!!

Honey Lemon Ice at Island Red Cafe

An extremely big portion of Fish and Chips at Island Red Cafe

I also dyed my hair RED on Monday.

Sorry la... No pictures yet...

This week, we had lab test, which I totally, completely, utterly SCREWED it... And you know what? I wasn't even upset. I only can laugh at my stupid answers, knowing that I didn't prepare well for this test. But we had an interesting Structural Biochemistry experiment this week. We were working with standard blood solution. And Lyn Fay get to play with her favourite apparatus, which is the micropipette. But sadly, the results are way off. Maybe because the Drabkin's reagent was exposed to oxidation...

My ever so reliable lab partner, Zarry...
He is very good at micropipetting stuff...

But Sok San is the ultimate master in quantitative experiments.
Her measurements are always accurate...

Incubating Drabkin's reagent and serial blood dilution

I am going to pass up my Chinese Assignment today. It was the article review of a story of a dying African child with the vulture standing next to it. I posted a review on that earlier of the month. Well, since I spent the whole month doing research and writing this paper, I really hope the work is good. Nonetheless, must tremendously thank Hui En for editing the paper for me, YY for translating my rotten English to Chinese, Yan Qian for borrowing me the Chinese Dictionary and also Yee Jian for the discussions.

I want to go shopping!! I am dreaming of a cashmere jacket... Some basic tees maybe... And definitely new earrings!! A complete make-over?

I really want to watch Harry Potter. Suppose to watch with my brother this weekend. Alas, work always comes before leisure... Sorry, Raymond...

I want to catch up on sleep that I lost during this entire week. But thanks to Zarry for fetching me to classes this week. You are really being thoughtful cause I injured my leg. Traveling in a car saves so much time, thus I can steal a little shut eye here and there.

I want to learn how to style my hair!! Since I have a new hairstyle, well, actually, just new hair colour, I want to learn to style it a little... Thanks for the tips, Avril and Zarry. Who has any more tips?

A dear friend reminded me of a very important principle.

"We must not be selfish. What we cannot get, we should help others to achieve."

That is so true!! Sadly, in this competitive campus world, even friends can stab each other in the back and take away each other's things. I have to admit that I forgot about this principle too. Thank friend, for reminding me the principle of generosity.

Recently, I got reconnected to a dear friend of mine whom we had a major fallout during secondary school. That was like... LONG TIME NO NEWS man!! I kinda miss you guys sooo much!! This, again, reminded me of the value of friendship. Someone once told me that friends made during secondary school are the most valuable ones. We were too young to remember the fights and too old not to forgive the fights. For whatever we did in the past, let's just erase it after learning lessons from it. From now on, we are good friends again!!

I am sooooo planning to record a cover. Ok, I wasn't this vain. But I have too many encouragement from people around me!! Haha... Thanks to Vee and Ling Yun for saying that can sing... And Andrew for persistently asking me to do a cover. Ladies and gentleman, you will see a cover soon... There are lots of guitar master, one of the most prominent is dear Ben... Thus, I must not display my unskilful play now. I shall practice more first!!
No success shall come if I don't work hard first!!

All About Food

I really don't know since when I am so addicted to cooking... I am not exactly a good cook, but I really like experimenting with food...

Let's see what I made last week...

Finely mince pork with garlic oil

Fried Fish Balls... Fried to golden brown... Perfection!!

Fish cake sandwich

Sliced potatoes with mixed vegetables...
According to Vee, the secret of the dish is finely sliced potatoes stir-fried till crispy.

Stir-fried minced pork with soy sauce.
I fried it till it's cripsy... Yummy...

This is a purely experimental dish.
Finely chopped carrot cooked with meat and wrapped in lettuce.
Very nyonya-style... Saw it on TV some time ago...
And YY and Vee said its nice!! Yay!!

Stir-fried nai bak with carrot

Chicken with sweet sauce...
Or at least I meant it to be sweet.
But Vee said it was more salty than sweet... Yikes~~

Fish cake coated with sugar.
YY said she dislike the onion taste in it.
So I thought why not experiment a little and coat it with sugar...
Turned out to be quite tasty actually!!

Boiled lettuce with garlic oil

Blogging about this makes me hungry~~
Fat? What fat? Isn't being able to eat a blessing? Eat all you can guys!! Hahahaha...

PS : If anyone reading this has any recipes or any ideas that you feel like experimenting, we can share and play with food, with a legal reason!! Hahaha... As long as it is simple and time-saving... We are students with extra crammed schedule that cannot afford to spend too much time on leisure cooking...
